We’re dealing with the first winter snow storm of the season.
Today — while roads and highways were not closed — driving conditions were not the best thanks to blowing and drifting snow.
About a half dozen schools in the region were closed for the day – while all others remained open without bus service for the most part.
All programs at Bluewater public schools in Grey Bruce have been cancelled this evening due to the poor weather.
Hydro outages were reported for about 100 people in Grey Bruce at the height of the storm in the morning.
Conditions are improving as we change from snow to rain for a while – but our weather specialist John Wilson tells us it will all turn back to snow.
We are also expecting winds to top 70 km/hr and are being told to brace for more squalls and upwards of 25 cenitmetres of snow by the end of the day tomorrow in those squalls.

In town buses are operating .
All buses to Walkerton area schools not running and no in town buses
No buses leaving from Grey County to catholic schools in Collingwood
Saugeen First Nation Bus to St. Mary’s and River Forest Montessori cancelled
