It’s happening all around us.
Layoffs, plant closures and cutbacks–it comes with the economic recession territory.
However, rest assured Bruce Power continues to look for employees, despite recent rumours of layoffs due to energy production cutbacks.
President and CEO Duncan Hawthorne there will be no employee cutbacks at Bruce.
He says they’re the busiest site in North America and it will continue that way for years to come.
Hawthorne says they have four thousand of their own employees and another two thousand contracted workers.
He says in the past year, they’ve hired on 150 people and he expects another 150 will be hired next year by Bruce Power.
Hawthorne says he’s always asked how you score a job at the Bruce and the answer is always the same.
He urges potential employees to keep visiting the company’s website and make sure their application on the web is up to date.
