Santa returns to Saugeen Shores tonight.
The jolly old elf himself will be a part of the Santa Claus Parade in Southampton tonight.
SS Chamber of Commerce Community Relations Manager Sally Hunt says just like in Port Elgin’s Parade – the theme is “A Candy Cane Christmas”.
The theme comes from the much anticipated arrival of the red and white Olympic Torch in Saugeen Shores.
Hunt says expect to see a lot of red and white along with beautiful lights.
The parade travels down High Street starting at Grey Street and ending at Grosvenor at 7 PM.
Once again, hats will be collected for kids – through 98 the Beach’s Lids for Kids campaign.
Non perishable food items will be collected by Thorncrest outfitters for the food bank.
Hunt says candy canes will be handed out to those along the route.
She is also pleased Ontario Power Generation donated the money to cover the piping drum band in the parade.
Both the Mount Forest and Chesley Parades are tonight as well, both begin at 7 PM tonight in their respective communities.
