The operator of the Owen Sound animal shelter denies allegations made by former employees that there are major problems at the facility.
Seven former staff and volunteers have spoken out against the shelter alleging everything from improper euthanasia practices to fraud.
Renee Robins runs the facility with husband Todd.
While she declined an interview she did answer Bayshore Broadcasting News questions through emails this morning.
Robins says the comments are being made by disgruntled employees and there are dozens of prior staff who support the shelter.
She says they have dedicated every moment of their lives to saving animals and its disgusting that they would be accused of hurting one or causing their discomfort.
Robins says there are slander charges pending against at least one of the people making the allegations.
