The Mayor of Georgian Bluffs says they have made no decision yet about how much money they will commit to the new regional rec centre in Owen Sound.
Alan Barfoot scoffs at some comments from City Council that suggest the contribution could be as high as a million dollars.
Barfoot says Council has not made a decision and the million dollar figure is higher than anything they have ever discussed.
Barfoot notes they have not seen the final design for the new facility so it would be unfair to make a financial commitment.
But Barfoot re-affirms Georgian Bluffs commitment to the project.
Owen Sound Council learned this week the new regional recreation centre will cost 38 million dollars — and there is a 3 million dollar shortfall.
Meaford has already said it likely will not be able to make any financial contribution to the project.
