The MPP for Bruce Grey Owen Sound is refusing to leave the Ontario legislature after calling the Premier a liar.
Progressive Conservative Bill Murdoch called Dalton McGuinty a liar for not holding province-wide public consultations on tax harmonization.
Murdoch sent out a news release with his actual comments.
He said “Where I come from, we call that a cop-out.”
“Where I come from, Dalton McGuinty is a liar.”
The Conservative caucus surrounded Murdoch in order to block any attempt to remove him.
The opposition have pulled similar acts of protest in the legislature over the last few weeks to show their opposition to the HST.
