A teenager is facing charges after showing up drunk at Grey Highlands Secondary School.
Grey County OPP say the 18 year old was unlawfully on the high school property around 1:30 PM Friday.
Constable Steve Starr says the Southgate teen is a student at Grey Highlands but was not taking classes at the school on the day of the incident.
Staff called police and when officers responded to the scene, the teen became combative and resisted as they placed him under arrest for public intoxication.
When officers got him into a cruiser he lunged forward and shattered the rear window of the car with his head.
He was transferred to a second cruiser and taken to hospital in Markdale, where he was treated before spending the night in custody.
The Southgate teen has been charged with Causing a Disturbance, Mischief, and Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest.
He is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court on January 28th.
