Back in October, we reported the Society of Energy Professionals donated a condo to the town for the purpose of housing physicians while they worked in Saugeen Shores.
The employee organizations at Bruce Power purchased a three bedroom condominium on Morpeth Street in Southampton.
The keys were handed over to the town Friday afternoon at the condo which will lease it for likely a dollar a year and cover all utility bills.
The locum house is meant to help attract doctors who will work shifts at Saugeen Memorial Hospital.
The existing one on Grey Street in Southampton is in disrepair and will succumb to a wrecking ball soon.
