Owen Sound Police have arrested a fourth young man and fifth suspect in connection with the break-in to a local motel last weekend.
The 17-year-old Owen Sound had been identified and was spotted by an officer on Sunday evening, but ran off down an alley when the officer got out of his cruiser.
The officer contacted a parent of the suspect who turned himself in to police the next day.
He now faces several charges along with four other suspects.
Early Saturday morning — Police were called to a motel on the eastside of the city around 3:30 AM, after five people broke into the hot tub and sauna area.
They caused considerable damage to get into the building and then enjoyed the use of the hot tub before deciding to vandalize the inside.
The five suspects fled after the motel owner confronted them.
Police found three of the four men and the woman a short distance from the motel.
All were under the influence of alcohol, and one man from Owen Sound, assaulted an officer during his arrest.
The group faces more than 20 charges in the case.
