A three year deal has been reached between Rockwood Terrace Home for the Aged in Durham, and the Canadian Auto workers union.
Grey County Council ratified the new contract this week which is retroactive to August 1st of this year.
In a news release, the County of Grey management team says the agreement signifies an understanding by both parties of the difficult financial situation at Long Term Care facilities in Ontario.
The contract works out to a zero per cent wage increase in the first year and a one per cent increase in years 2 and 3.
There were some minor changes to the benefit plan included in the new three year contract.
