You may have noticed the for sale sign in front of the Around the Sound local food market in Owen Sound.
Operator Anne Finlay Stewart says they’re moving from their leased space on 1st Avenue West in order to expand the business.
She says they’re going to move into a new home at 6th Street and 7th Avenue East near the Alliance Church.
Finlay Stewart says they now have 77 local producers, farmers and crafts people with their products at the market.
In fact, she just added four new ones last week.
The new location will also eventually boast a kitchen where Finlay Stewart says they hope to have cooking classes and chefs’ demonstrations.
She says they’re aiming to move by the end of January and before construction on the 9th Street bridge hampers their flow of customers.
