A Mildmay man has been fined over two thousand dollars for deer hunting violations.
Lorne Ruland pleaded guilty to charges of shooting two deer during a closed season.
He also received a two year hunting suspension.
The charges were laid by the Ministry of Natural Resources after officers received a tip about an incident in October.
Court heard Ruland shot two buck deer on a Sunday when the rifle hunting season was closed and the area was also closed to Sunday gun hunting.
The deer were forfeited and will be donated to charity.
