The search is over for the new West Grey Deputy Police Chief.
The police board has picked Daniel Rioux to replace the retiring Robert Thompson as Deputy Chief.
Rioux has worked with the OPP for over 27 years, most recently as Inspector in Perth County.
Rioux — who already lives in the area in the former Normanby Township — will take over the Deputy Chief’s job on December 14th.
Thompson is retiring after 31 years of policing.
