A Durham man can now take the trip of a lifetime after winning a contest celebrating the unique lifestyles of Ontario baby boomers.
Secure Insurance Solutions Group selected Robert Edwards as the winner of the contest — chosen from hundreds of entries to win the grand prize of 50 thousand air miles — enough for a trip for two anywhere in the world.
Edwards’ winning submission detailed his drastic change in lifestyle that saw him retire from his office job of 25 years and move to the family cottage.
Since then he’s done everything from driving a Zamboni to a school bus and most recently, has volunteered to help at the Winter Olympics in February.
Edwards says he’ll likely use the air miles to make the trip to Vancouver.
