Owen Sound Police are investigating a daring downtown robbery.
It happened just before 9 PM Saturday.
A woman was on a break from work, and was standing on the street in the 900 block of 2nd Avenue East, when a man came up from behind and shoved her against the building.
Police say he grabed her work-apron which contained money as well as some other items.
The suspect then ran south along 2nd Avenue East.
Police patrolling the downtown core were flagged down by the victim… who identified the suspect and police gave chase.
The suspect got away in the 800 block between 2nd and 3rd Avenue East.
Owen Sound police say the victim did not sustain any injury in the attack.
The suspect was described as being approximately 5 foot 9, 180 pounds with a deep voice.
He was wearing dark clothes and a black bandana covering his face from the nose down.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has information relating to it, to contact the Owen Sound Police or Crime Stoppers.
