It will be mid 2011 when the atoms start splitting again in Units 1 and 2 of the Bruce A generating station in Tiverton.
TransCanada — who owns over 30 percent of Bruce Power — has publicly released the mid 2011 time to its shareholders.
Bruce Power Manager of Government Relations Ross Lamont says one reactor will restart half way through the year.
He adds the second will follow three or four months later.
Lamont says the 2011 target is just over a year behind the original multi billion dollar plans for getting Units 1 and 2 producing power again.
He says they’ve known the delays were coming because so much of the work was ‘first of a kind’ things that have never been done before.
Lamont acknowledges they need to improve how projects are managed, and adds it’s challenging when so many other companies and people are involved.
