The search is starting for a new municipal administrator in South Bruce.
Mayor Bill Goetz says there are less than two months to go until the position has to be filled.
David Johnston says he’s worked in municipal government for 31 years — 19 of those with the former Village of Mildmay, one year with Mildmay-Carrick, and then 11 years with South Bruce.
He says an advertisement for an open competition for a new Administrator will be placed soon.
Goetz says it will appear in Municipal World magazine, which is circulated across the province.
Johnston says if a new Administrator is hired before the end of December, he’ll help the new person with the transition process.
A retirement celebration for David Johnston is planned for December 4th, and his last council meeting will be on December 8th.
