The OPP are once again bringing to the forefront a cold case from Owen Sound that’s more than 20 years old.
Long time residents will remember the disappearance of 22 year old Lisa Maas who was last seen leaving a party at the home of a male friend on July 17th 1988.
Two days later, her car was located in a rural area northeast of Owen Sound.
Other than a few personal papers found several kilometres away from the vehicle, an extensive search turned up nothing.
The case remains unsolved.
Detective Inspector Ian Maule of the Unsolved Homicide Team says the reason they’re bringing the case forward at this time is because they’ve just updated their cold case section of their OPP website.
He says it includes details of the case, photographs, maps and information on how to give police tips in the case.
He says the OPP have also increased the reward to 50 thousand dollars for
information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Maule says over time, situations change and someone sitting on information may now be in a position to offer up those details.
