The Owen Sound Family Health Team is hoping for a large turnout for today’s H1N1 flu clinic.
It’s the last clinic for high priority patients of the 22 doctors and nurse practitioners with the family health team.
The clinic runs from 9:30 AM to 6 PM today at the professional building in downtown Owen Sound.
Executive Director Carolyn Grace says they want as many of their patients as possible to be vaccinated against the H1N1 virus.
Grace estimates they have seen over a thousand patients over the first two clinics held Monday and Tuesday.
She says their clinics have run smoothly and there have been no major lineups.
Grace admits they did have to turn some people away because either they didn’t meet the high priority criteria or were not a patient of one of their physicians.
Grace adds there is no concern of running out of the H1N1 vaccine today.
A number of other doctors offices in Grey and Bruce Counties are also holding H1N1 flu clinics today.
Hanover Medical Associates is holding a clinic at its office for high priority patients and orphaned patients of Doctor Clark from 9 AM to 6 PM.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit is also holding an H1N1 clinic at Peninsula Shores District School in Wiarton from 4 PM to 8 PM.
