The Community Planning Process continues in Kincardine.
Economic Development Coordinator Steve Murray says the group of around 40 people the municipality has assembled for the process met again last week.
He says they went over mission statements from private organizations, other municipalites and the municipality’s past statement from 2004, in order to come up with a new statement for beyond 2009.
Murray says sustainability and having a green community were common suggestions raised at the session.
He says each group voted on what they thought were best mission and vision– but they couldn’t vote on their own suggestion.
Murray says the front runners will be “melted” together into one mission and vision statement and then presented back to the group when they meet again this month.
When the Community Plan is complete and the group sessions are over, the final draft goes before council.
