Eastlink Cable crews – formerly known as Persona – are hard at work in Bruce and Grey.
In fact, they are installing fibre optic lines to increase services in Saugeen Shores among other places.
Dan McKeen is the Deputy Chair of External Affairs and says the changes are a part of an announcement from back in April.
It was then we learned Eastlink was expanding its network and customer base with the rebranding of Persona’s Ontario and Quebec divisions.
McKeen says the ultimate goal is to offer customers a “Watch Surf and Talk Bundle” starting at 99 dollars a month in areas where it’s not available.
McKeen says work is being done to the tune of 4 million dollars across Bruce and Grey Counties.
He says they will be able to provide expanded services like phone service, high speed internet, and better channel selection through both digital cable and high definition options.
He believes the work should be finished in about a year’s time.
Eastlink Cable is headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
