The Port Elgin Rotary Club has recognized some of community builders within the club and in Saugeen Shores.
Last night, the Paul Harris Fellowship awards were given to Brian Wakelin, Chair of the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation for his continuing work with the Foundation.
Gary Brown was recognized for his Thursday Night Cruiser’s Cruise Night during the summer months in Southampton.
This year the event passed the $150,000 mark in donations to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Saugeen Shores former CAO Ron Brown, who recently retired was recognized for his work with the Southampton Rotary Club.
Others to receive the coveted award were Erin Zorzi, Bill Welsh and Peter Harrison, all members of the Port Elgin Rotary Club.
