A recent poll on our website shows 11 per cent of respondents still plan to text and chat on their cellphones while driving over the next few weeks.
44 per cent say they plan to pull over and talk on their cell phone and 33 per cent of respondents say they will purchase a hands free device.
A few drivers also tell Bayshore Broadcasting News they think the new legislation is a great idea because it’s dangerous to drive while distracted.
One man tells us he was rear-ended three weeks ago by a girl he believes was using her cell at the time so he likes the new law.
