Oy vey — it’s going to be a good time in Owen Sound for the 3rd Rhythm and Jews event, ‘Everything’s coming up Moses’!
The local Jewish community is celebrating 105 years of their culture and tradition in the Scenic City with two benefit performances on Sunday.
The Administrator of the Beth Ezekiel Synagogue Ally Boltman says its the third time they’ve held the event in the past 9 years.
She says they’ve booked plenty of entertainment ranging from ‘Jewish Jazz’ to show tunes as well as Jewish folklore storytelling.
Those in attendance will also be able to ‘nosh’ on several Jewish delicacies including gefilte fish, latkes, bagels and desserts.
Boltman says they’ve been able to trace their Jewish roots in Owen Sound to 1891.
The synagogue, which is the last small town synagogue in Canada, has been designated a historic building.
There are two performances at the Synagogue on Sunday — at 2 PM and 7 PM.
Any tickets still available can be purchased at The Ginger Press Bookstore.
