The drug possession and drunk driving case against former MP Rahim Jaffer has been put off until November 16th.
Jaffer is the husband of Simcoe Grey Conservative MP and Junior Cabinet Minister Helena Guergis.
He is facing cocaine possession and drunk driving charges after an arrest in the village of Palgrave in September.
Jaffer did not appear in court this morning, but was represented by a paralegal.
The 37-year-old was MP for the riding of Edmonton-Strathcona from 1997 until a surprise defeat in last year’s election to an NDP candidate.
His loss was the only Tory loss in all of Alberta.
