The building keeps on happening in South Bruce.
The municipality issued 10 building permits in September — bringing the year to date amount to 148 permits with a construction value of 8.5 million dollars.
That tops the 5.5 million dollars at this time last year.
Chief Building Official Don Jackson says this is the best building year ever for the municipality.
He notes South Bruce has lower land prices and good trades people, making it a good place to build.
Jackson says the federal Home Renovation Tax Credit could be behind some of the strong activity, but adds most of the permits are for new buildings.
