The Federal Liberals claim no previous government has breached government rules like the Steven Harper Tories.
They are upset that Infrastructure taxpayer cheques bear the Conservative party logo or Tory MP’s signatures on them.
A look at Conservative MP websites reveals dozens of cheque presentations on which the MP’s name and signature appears in bold letters, while the government of Canada logo is tiny.
Others show the Conservative party logo instead of the Government of Canada logo.
Liberal MP Wayne Easter tells Bayshore Broadcasting News, under the Chretien Liberals and even under the Mulroney Tories this never happened.
Easter says our local MP Larry Miller is one of the offenders.
He says pictures show the Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP with infrastructure cheques sporting his name.
Easter says Miller is not giving out the cash, it is the government of Canada and there should be no partisan connection.
The Liberal MP adds the Harper government is not handing out money equally thru the Building Canada fund, instead favouring Tory ridings.
