Two men are facing charges after a beating outside a motel on Owen Sound’s Upper east side.
About 2:20 Saturday morning, two men were waiting for a taxi at the motel when there were asked to leave the area by the night clerk.
One of the men argued with the woman, and a motel guest got involved.
He was then challenged by the two males.
The guest was sucker punched and after falling to the ground was punched and kicked repeatedly about the face by the two suspects.
A taxi driver appeared on scene and pulled them off the guest and told them that police were on their way.
When Owen Sound police arrived the taxi driver told them where to find one of the suspects and he was arrested.
The second male had fled but gave himself up to police Saturday afternoon.
The motel guest was taken to the GBHS for treatment of injuries sustained from the assault. He was later released from hospital with no apparent serious injuries.
Two 18 year old Owen Sound men have been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
