A fundraising dance is being held at the Neustadt arena.
It’s a concert with Frankie D and the Dreamers as the opening act, and Peter Irwin’s tribute to Elvis is the main event.
Doors open at 7 PM tonight and the performance begins at 8 PM.
The concert is designed to raise money for tornado relief in West Grey, Grey Highlands and Blue Mountains, with each dollar raised to be matched 2 for 1 by the province.
West Grey Mayor Kevin Eccles says well over half of the one thousand tickets available have been sold.
At 20 dollars each, Eccles says it is great value, while at the same time raising money to help your neighbours.
The event is sponsored by Hydro one and the West Grey-Durham Lions Club and Neustadt Lions club will provide food and beverages.
Tickets are available still at several locations:
Cuneo’s in Walkerton
Holst Office Supplies in Hanover and Walkerton
Granny’s General store in Ayton and Neustadt
Johnny K Sports in Durham and Hanover,
Country Critters in Markdale
West Grey municipal office in Durham
Bill Murdoch’s constituency office in Owen Sound.
