The shelves at the Salvation Army Food Bank are well stocked again.
Officials report they collected 23 thousand pounds of food in Owen Sound (23,637 lbs) and over 10 thousand pounds (10,300 lbs) in Port Elgin during the Thanksgiving Food Drive.
The trucks in our Owen Sound and Port Elgin radio station parking lots collected over 14 thousand pounds of food for the drive.
The total monies raised in cash donations was over 17 thousand in Owen Sound and over 11 thousand in Port Elgin.
For every one dollar donation — it buys seven dollars worth of food.
