The Hanover and District Hospital is pleased with how it handled its first confirmed case of H1N1 virus.
Vice President of Patient Care Services Reta Sproule says staff were ready for the H1N1 virus.
She says all the Hospitals isolation policies were followed to the letter with no chance of a hospital outbreak.
Sproule adds the Hospitals stringent hand washing policy also helped keep staff and their other patients safe.
She adds the best news is the patients recovery as the middle aged woman is back home.
Symptoms for the H1N1 virus include: fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, chills, fatigue, vomiting and diarrhea.
Pregnant woman and anyone with an underlying medical condition that experiences these flu like symptoms should contact their health care provider.
