Environment Canada is out with their summer forecast for Huron County, and Senior Climatologist David Phillips says it is somewhat bittersweet.
The good news: Phillips is calling for a warmer-than-normal summer along Ontario’s West Coast, according to current weather models.
Unfortunately for those looking to spend more time outdoors, Phillips tells Country 104.9 News higher-than-normal volumes of rain are also expected.
The silver lining, he says, is some of that anticipated precipitation could occur in large spurts, spaced out throughout the summer.
Phillips says June temperatures are looking more seasonable, with warmer weather expected in July and August.
