Having trouble getting a good nights sleep?
Best selling author Paul McKenna just released his book “I Can Make You Sleep” in September.
McKenna says with the stresses of 21st century life, about 30 per cent of the population have some level of insomnia.
He says his book is simple straightforward and comes with a hypnosis CD for deep relaxation.
McKenna says insomnia is a serious problem and is often born out of bad habits like drinking caffeine, watching the news or an action movie before bed which can make people stressed.
He says if the same habits are repeated over time some people will panic before bed and in turn cannot go to sleep.
His book is filled with simple instructions and tips for a good nights sleep.
McKenna notes some easy techniques are to make the bedroom cool and the bed warm, keep it as dark as possible and exercise before retiring.
He says exercising not only gets rid of toxins in the body but makes you tired in general.
McKenna says the quality of sleep is far more important then the number of hours.
He says our brains have a chemical equation for being awake and asleep.
He says people who work shift work sometimes get their signals confused making it hard to sleep – but through simple psychological training you can re-adjust them.
McKenna says it is like re-teaching your body how to get drowsy.
You can get ‘I Can Make You Sleep’ from Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble.com and any large scale bookstore.
