The public will get their fist look at the new Owen Sound regional rec centre later this month.
Councillor and Chair of the Rec Centre committee, Jim McManaman, says the preliminary plans for the complex will be unveiled at a public meeting on October 20th.
City Manager Jim Harrold also announced that a job fair will likely be held soon as well as the project gets underway.
Meantime a Brampton firm has been hired to do the construction work.
Aquicon Construction was chosen out of a list of almost a dozen applicants.
The firm has worked on a number of similar projects nad has agreed to work with local tradespeople and suppliers in building the new 37 million dollar complex which needs to be built in the next year and a half.
The public meeting will be held October 20th at the Bayshore Community Centre at 7 PM.
