The scarecrows continue to invade Meaford today.
The 13th annual Scarecrow Invasion continues through the town with many events.
“Head Scarecrow” Marilyn Morris – says today’s events are for the entire family.
Morris says outdoor hikes are a big part of the festival.
There is a Tom Thompson hike on a loop trail and Bruce trail hikes taking place at 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
Morris also says there is the apple harvest craft festival from 10 AM to 6 PM at the Meaford Community Centre and Curling Club.
Morris also says the turkey barbeque at Woodford hall from 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM is very popular.
If you enjoy art the Changing Colours art show and sale runs at the Meaford Hall Gallery from 10 AM until 4 PM.
The town is decorated to the hilt with scarecrows.
Morris says from the decorating committee alone — 250 scarecrows go up throughout the entire town.
