The Ontario Government has filed a 50 billion dollar lawsuit against tobacco companies because of health-care costs due to smoking.
And Bayshore Broadcasting News wanted to know what you thought of the move.
Some people told us that it’s a great idea, and it will definitely help the anti-smoking message.
But others didn’t agree with the lawsuit.
One woman told us that you can’t really go after the companies if you haven’t outlawed selling cigarettes yet.
And another woman says that smokers have rights too.
One man told us, however, that he used to be a smoker, but quit as soon as he had his son.
He says it’s terrible to see so many young people still smoking.
