Three infrastructure projects are underway in Southgate and Mayor Don Lewis is confident most of the work will be done before Christmas.
Ottawa and Queens Park provided the township with just under 1 million dollars for work at the Dundalk Memorial park, a new Library and OPP office.
Lewis says tenders have been awarded for new fencing and electrical work at the ball park — but paving work won’t be done until the spring, in order to let the ground settle.
Meanwhile, Southgate will award the construction tender on today for the new Library and OPP office in Dundalk.
Lewis says they have excavated the site and are refilling it now.
The Mayor says once the tender is awarded, construction will begin almost immediately and should be done late this year.
The new facility will house the New Library, OPP office and the Economic development officer.
