Renovations are in store for the Bruce County Council Chambers in Walkerton.
The big round room will be brought from the 1980’s to the present day when it comes to accessibility and communication.
County Clerk Bettyanne Cobean says it’s time to upgrade the microphone and electrical system to meet today’s needs, especially since council moved to a paperless format.
The county building was constructed in 1982.
Cobean admits there may be lots of concrete dust in the room over the next month.
Cobean says the 100 thousand dollar project is in this year’s budget and has been planned for the past three years.
She notes the carpet in the council chambers will also be replaced.
