A Georgian Bluffs woman is now facing charges in connection with a serious crash on Highway 6 this summer.
Grey County OPP tell us 57 year old Yolanda Novak has been charged with dangerous driving and impaired driving.
As Bayshore Broadcasting News reported – a horse trailer drawn by a pickup truck was rear ended by a car on Highway 6 just south of Durham on July 15th.
Around 6 PM that day, the horse trailer and truck were stopped in a line of traffic being controlled by a construction flag person.
Novak’s car hit the trailer, crossed into the oncoming lane, rolled several times, and
came to rest in a ditch.
She was pinned under her vehicle and a group of passing motorists lifted the vehicle off her before emergency responders arrived.
She was taken to hospital in Durham and then airlifted to London.
The driver of the truck and the two race horses in the trailer were not injured.
Novak will appear in Owen Sound on October 22nd.
