There is a new communications officer at Grey Bruce Health Services.
The organization has appointed Jim Merriam as Interim Communications and Public Relations Officer.
Merriam is best known in the community for his 40 years of newspaper work at both the Owen Sound Sun Times and the Shoreline Beacon in Port Elgin.
President and CEO Maureen Solecki says Merriam will guide their communications strategy as they work on their hospital organizational structure.
Solecki says Merriam will also give priority to internal communications with their 16 hundred staff.
Merriam’s first day on the job is tomorrow.
