We now know what caused the fire in the convenience store part of the XTR gas station in Collingwood.
Fire Chief Trent Elyea says the blaze was started by an extension cord plugged into a pop cooler.
Elyea tells us the damage is estimated at three quarters of a million dollars.
The fire broke out at the gas station at Hume and Paterson Streets around 11:30 PM Monday and it took firefighters until 4:30 in the morning Tuesday to put it out.
No one was hurt.
