Many may remember last years International Plowing Match in Teeswater – this years event is in Temiskaming.
And the North Grey Queen of the Furrow is attending.
Camille Black will be representing the North Grey Plowman’s association – as well as competing for the Ontario Queen of the Furrow.
The competition has a total of 32 girls going for the title.
The competition is in its 49th year with the winner representing the Ontario Plowman’s Association to promote provincial agriculture.
Black will take part in the entire competition which includes plowing and an interview with a panel of three judges – as well as a speech.
Black has an extensive background in agriculture – having grown up in Markdale on a farm.
The plowing match starts today.
