A 16 year old Chatsworth Township youth is in critical condition after his pickup truck slammed into a hydro pole and rolled, before ending up on its’ roof in a ditch.
The crash happened around 7 PM Friday on Concession 6 just east of Desboro.
A passing motorist found the truck and called authorities. Fortunately no wires were downed, although the utility pole was snapped off at the base.
The driver, a 16 year-old Chatsworth Township youth, was taken to Grey Bruce Health Services-Owen Sound by ambulance.
A few hours later he was airlifted to London Health Sciences-Victoria Campus where he remains in critical condition.
His name cannot be released at this time.
A portion of a rural gravel road southwest of Chatsworth was closed as OPP Investigators examined the scene for evidence.
