Celebrating the best in our own backyard.
That’s the theme of the 6th annual PEAK Awards presented by the Bruce Community Futures Development Corporation.
Manager Amanda Farrell says they’re recognizing perseverance; excellence, achievement and knowledge in business in Bruce and Grey — thus the name PEAK.
Farrell says the theme this year focuses on local businesses and local partnerships while dining on local food, listening to local entertainment.
The awards will be handed out tonight at a dinner at the Kincardine Pavilion.
The recipient of the Company of the Year Under 5 Employees is Kim’s Cottage and Home Cleaning Services in Tobermory.
River Village Co-Op Market in Teeswater picks up the prize for Company of the Year Over 5 Employees.
The Corporate Citizen of the year is Crabby Joe’s in Kincardine.
The Entrepreneur of the year is Flower Expressions, Tent and Party Rental in Owen Sound.
Tickets to the event are 45 dollars and includes dinner.
They can be purchased by calling 1-888-832-2232.
