The South Bruce OPP have a new boss.
Inspector Bill Klym started his new job on Tuesday sharing time between the Walkerton and Kincardine OPP offices.
Councillor Charlie Reidl says Brockton is very fortunate to have an officer of Klyms calibre.
In his last post in Bolton, Klym was in charge of the Emergency Tactical Unit.
With about 24 years of police experience under his belt, Reidl says Klym will be a welcomed addition to the force.
Reidl says Klym began his policing career in the Goderich area and is happy to be back in this area of the province again.
Klym replaces former Inspector Paul Holmes who has been reassigned to a security position for the G8 summit taking place next year in Huntsville.
Holmes will be responsible for prisoner security.
The South Bruce OPP have been without an inspector since March, over the last five months the interim position has been filled by two different staff sergeants.
