If your looking to flex your creative muscles this weekend – there is an artistic festival being held at the MacGregor Point Provincial Park.
The Park in conjunction with the Friends of MacGregor Point Park are hosting the 6th annual “Wild For the Arts” festival.
Senior Park Interpreter, Matt Cunliffe says they are trying to inspire creative thinking in a natural setting with a variety of different creative writing, photography and painting workshops.
Cunliffe says admission into the park and all workshops is free – It only cost money if you are camping for the weekend.
He says they are just asking for people wanting to participate in the creative writing and photography workshops to sign up ahead of time.
All other activities are open to the public.
Cunliffe says this festival is important because it helps to promote artistic expression within the community.
Other activities include a chicken barbeque on Saturday at 5PM and afterwards David Archibald will be the guest musical performer.
The festival will go rain or shine.
