Bruce Power has fired nearly 100 employees and employees of contractors for code of conduct violations.
Manager of Government Relations Ross Lamont tells Bayshore Broadcasting News the firings happened yesterday at the Tiverton site.
Lamont says Bruce Power expects all of it’s employees to abide by it’s code of conduct. Those who do not, he says, are not welcome at the site.
The investigation into the violations related to internet and email use. Lamont would not confirm if police had been notified.
He says employees were warned about the violations and given a chance to correct their behaviours before being terminated.
Bruce Power employs about three thousand people.
