One hundred thousand dollars will come to the tornado stricken municipalities from Grey County.
West Grey Mayor and County Warden Kevin Eccles says it hasn’t yet been decided how the money will be divided between West Grey, Grey Highlands and The Blue Mountains.
The three municipalities were all devastated by the tornado on August 20th.
All three have since passed resolutions seeking to be declared disaster areas by the province.
That makes them eligible for financial assistance from Ontario that could provide up to two times the amount raised at the local level, an amount that now includes Grey Countys 100 thousand dollar pledge.
