A group of Walkerton residents are fed up with reckless motorists driving along Scott Street.
Resident Kelly Reid says something has to be done to address the traffic problems on Scott Street.
She says the Scott Street intersections are averaging five or more accidents per year.
Since 2005 there have been 22 reported Scott Street intersection accidents.
Reid calls this unacceptable saying her fear is that someone is going to get killed.
She says the biggest problem involves motorists who either run the stop signs or only use rolling stops at the intersections.
Reid along with a number of other residents believes a four way stop would help curb some of these abuses.
She says police have tried to crack down on reckless motorists, unfortunately she says they cannot man the intersections 24 hours a day.
Councillor David Inglis doesn’t think four way stops are the answer. He says its a matter of getting motorists to obey the rules of the road.
Brockton is now asking for the publics input.
The question of whether a four way stop should be created on the corner of Scott and Victoria Street will be posed in the next Brockton Buzz which will be released in early October.
