A Liberal push for a Fall election isn’t sitting well with two local Conservative MP’s.
Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller isn’t digging out his elections signs just yet.
The Conservative MP believes Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff is grand standing, saying there is no real issue to send Canadians to the poll.
Miller is hopeful that all of this election talk will blow over.
He echoes Prime Minister Stephen Harpers comments that a Fall election would be bad for the economy.
He says the 300 million dollar trip to the polls will cause a real disruption to the work being done on Parliament Hill.
Huron Bruce Conservative MP Ben Lobb agrees, noting his office has received numerous calls objecting to a Fall election.
Lobb adds that the economy is on the mend and now is not the time to disrupt this.
Both Miller and Lobb believe that the majority of their constituents are opposed to another election.
If the Liberals do get their way and there is a Fall election, it will be the fourth federal election in the last five and a half years.
